this wasn't in the plan |but life is still pretty good

I like to go grocery shopping in the mornings before The Tall One goes to work. That way I can go with just one kid (or no kids if I'm lucky). The only problem is that one of the stores I frequent only has the self checkout lanes open that early in the morning.

I hate the self checkout lanes.

I always seem to get stuck behind the person who has no idea what they are doing. I really think that one should be required to take a test and must pass it before being allowed to use them. And, in all honesty, I might not be able to pass it. I just get too frazzled when trying to check out more than one or two things.

I've gotten better though, considering all the practice I get at this particular store. But I apparently am missing one key concept. You must take all your bags when you leave. 'Cause yeah, I bagged my eggs and then managed to leave them there.

But on a positive note, I am doing so way awesome with groceries thus far. Could it be that all the stocking up I've done in recent months is finally paying off?

And on an unrelated - yet tasty - note, Sonic's regular shakes are 99 cents for a limited time. Good thing I'm probably going to go under budget in groceries this month, because I just might go over in dining.
