I've always told myself I needed to buy some reusable grocery bags and a  few months ago I finally took the plunge and now I'm hooked!

I love these bags, they are sturdy, lightweight and you can really fit quite a bit in them.  Bug keeps taking them from me to load up with toys - he wants me to get him one.

They certainly aren't expensive, costing right around $1 for the most part and you can probably pick them up right in the checkout row at the grocery store.  Many stores will even give you a discount (I've been getting five cents) for each bag you use.  That means that eventually the bags can pay for themselves.

Besides grocery bags, they'd make great library totes or picnic baskets.  You could fill them with towels for the beach or pool.  They really are quite versatile bags.

So the next time you see the display while you're grocery shopping, I'd encourage to pick up one.. or a few!
